Here Lies Your Story is a text-based mural with its words collected from across the Kings Cross community.

When curated together, these short stories and memories create a unique picture of a place unlike any other.

“Maybe you ate noodles at the markets, fell asleep in a park, went to a nightclub (long ago maybe), ignored a celebrity, drove a taxi, got a job, lost a job, saw a show in a space long since closed down, put on a show (or 50 shows), ran a business, fell in love, fell out of love, remember a story your parents told you, or your grandparents, had dinner with a friend you miss dreadfully, caught the train and something momentous happened, or perhaps nothing at all, it’s up to you. About the Artist

Fenella Kernebone’s background is in television, radio and podcasts. More recently she has been helping people tell their stories as Head of Curation for TEDxSydney. In June 2021 she joined the University of Sydney as head of programming for its public talks program, Sydney Ideas.

Collaborating on the project is design director Marita Leuver, principal and creative director of Sydney-based studio LEUVER DESIGN; and podcast producer and audio creative, Cinnamon Nippard.
